Français : La construction du moulind'Ostiches blanchi à la chaux remonte à 1789, lorsque Jean-Baptiste Deltenre, censier, obtint l'octroi indispensable pour l'établir sur les hauteurs du lieu-dit Pidebecq au camp du Mont. Les descendants de la famille Deltenre demeurent propriétaires du moulin jusqu'au 20 ième siècle et en assurent le bon fonctionnement. L'activité s'arrête à la veille de la seconde guerre mondiale et le moulin subit peu à peu les outrages du temps. Il faudra attendre son acquisition et sa rénovation par la ville d'Ath pour qu'il retrouve son charme d'antan le 1er juillet 2000. Le moulin est classé depuis le 20 avril 1982. Perchée sur une butte artificielle, la tour en briques du Blanc Moulin est surmontée d'une calotte qui permet d'orienter les ailes face au vent. La galerie à la base de l'édifice accueille une exposition permanente qui présente l'histoire des moulins et leurs techniques. |
