Português: Monumento de Interesse Público

«O projecto inicial previa um conjunto de quatro blocos adaptando os princípios da Carta de Atenas à realidade portuense, revelando a maturidade de Viana de Lima. Apenas seria construido o bloco fronteiro à rua. A situação urbana é assumida recuando a construção de modo a criar uma zona de transição e protecção - separando "modernamente" os peões do tráfego automóvel - que é tratada com a naturalidade de um jardim, onde a vegetação cresce entre o lajedo irregular de granito do caminho de peões. Solução distributiva com galeria central, retoma o esquema da rua interior do bloco de Marselha. A fachada modulada alterna os panos de tijolo de vidro com superfícies de tijolo onde se abrem em comprimento os vãos e as varandas que se assumem salientes.
