Français : Le Pont Gabriel sur la Loire.

Pont en dos d'âne construit au XVIIIe siècle (de 1716 à 1724) sur des plans de Jacques-Jules Gabriel, architecte du roi. Le Pont Gabriel est surélevé en son centre pour faciliter le passage des bateaux, en effet jusqu'à la fin du XIXe la navigation sur la Loire était importante.

Au milieu du pont, Gabriel dispose une pyramide. Un grand cartouche aux armes du roi est sculpté par Guillaume II Coustou à la base de la pyramide. Il est détruit à la révolution.

Bridge saddle built in the eighteenth century (from 1716 to 1724) on plans of Jacques-Jules Gabriel, architect of the king. Gabriel Bridge is raised in the center to facilitate the passage of boats, in fact until the late nineteenth navigation on the Loire was important.

In the middle of the bridge, Gabriel has a pyramid. A large cartridge arms of the king is sculpted by William II Coustou at the base of the pyramid. It was destroyed in the revolution.
This building is inscrit au titre des monuments historiques de la France. It is indexed in the base Mérimée, a database of architectural heritage maintained by the French Ministry of Culture, under the reference PA00098391 .
