| Description |
Someone sent me a piece of original sales letterhead for this French microcar. I've had this for many years but just realized that it has this raised lettering on it, so it is an original, not a copy. I scanned only the top part as the page is blank, unused. Wikipedia thinks that no cars were produced for sale, but they did take some orders for this model, which had a 688cc engine. Perhaps it was a North American distributor that made those orders. Apparently only the one prototype of this model was produced. Boitel was convicted of keeping the deposits and did jail time. The car below appears to be the 1946 prototype, but its 400cc engine couldn't handle two people in the car. Safe to call this a totally failed venture. |
