English: Extremely small dark violet, almost black crystal of the extremely rare scandium mineral bonacinaite (IMA 2018-054) from the type and only known locality worldwide in Varenche mine (Varenche Mine, Saint-Barthélemy, Nus, Aosta Valley, Italy). Named in honor of Enrico Bonacina (b. 1928), dean of micromineral photography in Italy. The As analogue of kolbeckite (ScPO4). Very difficult to photograph due to the tiny size of the crystal. |
