Description
Deutsch: Das Bootshaus des reformpädagogischen Landerziehungsheims Schule am Meer wurde 1927 im Loog auf der ostfriesischen Insel Juist in Preußen am Watt errichtet. Wenn die Boote im Frühjahr zu Wasser gelassen wurden, war eine gemeinsame Kraftanstrengung der schulischen Gemeinschaft gefordert. Im Bootshaus befanden sich die schuleigenen Segelboote, ein Prahm und ein Beiboot. Von dort wurden die Boote auf speziellen vierrädrigen Karren transportiert. Die erste kleine Jolle 1925 wurde Karna getauft, 1926 kam eine weitere große Kormoran hinzu. Die dritte – Monga – erhielt 1928 einen Hilfsmotor, die auch Fahrten nach Baltrum oder Borkum und eine dreiwöchige Herbstfahrt über Delfzijl auf Flüssen nach Arnheim, Utrecht und Amsterdam sowie durch die Zuiderzee ermöglichte. 1929 erhielt die Monga auch Seitenschwerter, um ein Abtreiben zu vermeiden bzw. einzugrenzen. Bei dem auf diesem Foto herausgezogenen Segelboot dürfte es sich um die große Kormoran handeln.
