| Description |
Deutsch: Wegekreuz am Apostelpfad (zwischen Zehnhoffstraße und Landgraben) in Bornheim-Mitte. Der Sockel zeigt die Wappen der Familien Waldbott von Bassenheim und von Gymnich (Waldbott links vom Betrachter). Die Wappen befinden sich auch auf den folgenden Bornheimer Wegekreuzen: SW-Ecke der Kreuzung Reuterweg und Hordorfer Weg (1743, Bild), NW-Ecke der Kreuzung Burg- und Wallrafstraße (1744, Bild), SO-Ecke der Kreuzung Königstraße und Rankenberg (1746, Wappen und Erläuterung) sowie Ecke Breite Straße / Vinkelgasse (1747, Bild). Der Sockel stammt aus der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts (leider fehlt die Jahreszahl). Die Inschrift zwischen Engelskopf und Nische lautet: erneuert von Witwe Jos. Bollig 1887. |
