Català: Una botifarra d'ou típica de dijous llarder (Carnaval) a Barcelona. Actualment estan fetes de carn d'espatlla de porc, ous, sal i pebre negre; però inicialment la idea era crear una botifarra que es pogués menjar seguint els preceptes de quaresma.
Español: Una butifarra de huevo. La butifarra de huevo es un tipo de butifarra ya cocida y sin sangre, parecida a la blanca, pero que contiene huevo además de carne magra de cerdo, chicharrones (a veces), sal y pimienta. El color amarillento viene dado por el huevo. Se come cruda, cortada en rodajitas, en el aperitivo, con pan con tomate, en bocadillo, etc. Es muy típica del "día de la tortilla" (jueves de Carnaval), día en que tradicionalmente en Cataluña se comen chicharrones ("llardons"), cocas dulces de éstos, butifarras, butifarra de huevo en especial, y todo tipo de tortillas, incluyendo la de butifarra de huevo. En principio, sólo se encuentra fácilmente en los comercios en la época cercana a carnaval, de enero a marzo aproximadamente. |
