Description
Italiano: I Bottini di Irsina sono un sistema ingegnoso di acquedotti sotterranei ideato, probabilmente, in epoca medioevale per alimentare le fonti e le cisterne della città di Irsina.

Sono dei cunicoli sotterranei con volte a botte (di qui il termine bottini) scavati a mano nella roccia che si sviluppano in un dedalo di gallerie e vasche di raccolta dell’acqua e che drenano le acque sotterranee raccogliendole sul fondo di canaletti.

Il sistema Bottini costituisce un enorme patrimonio rupestre per il territorio di Irsina.
