Description

Le château de Bouges.

Cette demeure a été construite en 1765 pour Claude Charles François Leblanc de Marnaval, maître de forges et directeur de la Manufacture royale de draps de Châteauroux.

La famille Leblanc est originaire de Saint-Dizier (Haute-Marne). Elle possédait au 18ème siècle les forges de Buisson (Marne) et un haut-fourneau à Châtelier (Marne).

Claude Leblanc est propriétaire des forges de Marnaval (quartier de Saint-Dizier). Après avoir quitté la Champagne pour le Berry, il prend l'exploitation des forges de Clavières (Indre), en 1735.

Un de ses fils, Claude Charles François dit Leblanc de Marnaval, épouse, en 1753, Marie Anne Gaudard.

Marie Anne est la fille de Pierre Gaudart, seigneur de La Verdine, trésorier de France et commissaire des ponts et chaussées.

En 1763, Leblanc de Marnaval achète la terre de Bouges et y fait construire un château à l'italienne.

Leblanc de Marnaval tombe sous le coup d'un arrêt du Conseil le 13 août 1773, pour détournement de fonds.

This house was built in 1765 for Charles Claude François Leblanc Marnaval, ironmaster and director of the Royal Factory of sheets Châteauroux.

Leblanc family is originally from Saint-Dizier (Haute-Marne). She had in the 18th century forges Buisson (Marne) and blast furnace Chatelier (Marne).

Claude Leblanc owns forges Marnaval (district of Saint-Dizier). After leaving the Champagne Berry, it is the operation of smithies Clavières (Indre) in 1735.

A son, Charles Claude François Leblanc said Marnaval, married in 1753, Anne Marie Gaudard.

Anne Marie is the daughter of Pierre Gaudart, Lord of La Verdine, treasurer of France and commissioner of roads and bridges.

In 1763, Leblanc Marnaval Bouges buys the land and built a castle in the Italian style..

Leblanc Marnaval falls under a judgment of the Council on 13 August 1773, for embezzlement.
