Description Stone carving in Bradford Cathedral, formerly St Peter's, Bradford Parish Church, on Stott Hill, Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. This was a 15th-century church of which the west tower and north aisle, and much of the nave and original chancel remain. The south aisle, its clerestory and porch were remodelled in the 19th century, when the transepts were added. In 1950, architect Sir Edward Maufe extended it to the east and to the north of the west tower. Showing font in nave. The central visible panel has the letters IHS. The left panel shows a winged lion, the symbol of Mark the Evangelist. The right panel shows a winged eagle, the symbol of John the Evangelist.
