Description
Deutsch: Die als Erdbau errichtete Landpyramide in der Pyramidenebene des Branitzer Parks ließ Fürst Hermann von Pückler-Muskau nach dem Vorbild altägyptischer Stufenpyramiden errichten. Ursprünglich hatte er die Landpyramide als letzte Ruhestätte für seine geschiedene Frau und Lebensgefährtin Lucie von Pückler-Muskau vorgesehen. Fürstin Luci starb allerdings schon 1854, noch vor Fertigstellung der Pyramide und wurde auf eigenen Wunsch auf dem alten Branitzer Dorffriedhof beigesetzt. Auf Betreiben von Pücklers Pflichterben Heinrich Graf von Pückler erfolgte 1884 ihre Umbettung in die Seepyramide, wo sie neben Fürst Pückler ihre letzte Ruhestätte fand.
