Ein alter, abgearbeiteter Esel machte sich auf den Weg nach Bremen, um dort noch Stadtmusikant zu werden. Unterwegs traf er einen altersschwachen Hund. Er lud ihn ein, mitzugehen, damit er die Pauke schlage, während er die Laute spielen wollte. = An old, worn-out donkey made his way to Bremen to become a town musician there. On the way he met an old, decrepit dog. He invited him to go along with him to play the drum while he played the lute.
