| Description |
Brihuega - Iglesia de San Felipe La Iglesia de San Felipe data del siglo XIII y es una bella muestra del estilo románico en transición con el gótico. Consta de tres naves siendo la central la más grande. Estas naves están separadas entre sí por cinco arcos sostenidos cuyas columnas constan de capiteles con motivos florales. En su historia ha pasado por diversas vicisitudes. Durante la Guerra de Sucesión (1710) sufrió graves daños, en 1904 quedó gravemente dañada a causa de un incendio y durante la Guerra Civil fue utilizada como almacén de piensos. Pese a ello, siempre ha sido reconstruida conservando su esbeltez y sobriedad, mostrándose como un singular ejemplo del románico español y una de las construcciones más emblemáticas de Brihuega. |
