Description
English: Vorderseite K 3176, Brockenplateau; (Foto: Perner 2019 magenta T0A0253)

Auf der abgeflachten Kuppe des Brockens ragt ein vierkantiger Aussichtsturm mit Ballustrade in den bewölkten Abendhimmel. Daneben steht das Brockenhaus, das Wanderern als Gasthaus diente. Links im Vordergrund türmen sich mächtige Gesteinsbrocken. Rechts davon steht eine Gruppe von Männern gestikulierend zwischen dicken Steinen. Das spärliche Gras dient ein paar Kühen als Weide.

Als Vorlage für dieses Gemälde diente eine weitverbreitete Grafik von Ludwig Richter.
