Summary[edit]

Description
English: Built in 1890, this Renaissance Revival-style townhouse was designed by Edward B. Green for Bryant B. Glenny. The building features a buff roman brick exterior, side gable roof on the front portion with gable parapets, a mansard roof to the rear, two-over-one double-hung windows, gabled wall dormers, brick corbeling, stone trim, a rusticated red medina sandstone base, a front entrance door with a stoop and decorative trim surround, a shingle-clad side oriel with decorative brackets at the base, an oxeye window on the north gable end with stone trim, a two-story rear oriel window, and a brick carriage house to the rear along Virginia Place. The house is one of several late 19th Century townhouses in the Midway Row Houses on Delaware Avenue, which sit about midway between Erie Square in Downtown Buffalo and Gates Circle. The Midway Row Houses are contributing structures in the Allentown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
