An American soldier views an array of stones and other valuables confiscated from prisoners in the Buchenwald concentration camp and recovered by U.S. troops after the liberation of the camp. These stones are a few of the thousands of valuables the Germans removed from their victims in the Buchenwald Concentration Camp near Weimar, Germany. The loot was discovered by the First U.S. Army troops in a cave adjoining the camp." |
