Description
English: Building 655 at Fort Douglas, Utah. Photograph shows the back (east) side of the building, along with the south side. Building 655 is the oldest remaining building at Fort Douglas, having been constructed in 1863. Originally it was constructed to serve as the Post Commander's residence, but was only used in this capacity for a short time. The building is located on fort property owned by the University of Utah and is just south of the Chase N. Peterson Heritage Center (Resident Hall Student Center), which can be seen on the right side of the photograph.

This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 70000628.
