Summary

[edit]
Description
English: As seen in September 2020 from under the awning of the Darby Coffee Club on Mulberry Street in Nolita, Manhattan, New York: the seven-story brick apartment building at 390-394 Broome Street. Built in 1901, its design is a hybrid of the Colonial Revival and Neo-Renaissance styles and is attributed variously to either A. G. Rechlin or the firm of Sass & Smallheiser. Prominently featured are splayed lintels above the upper-floor windows with large and ornate decorative keystones as well as exquisite ironwork on the fire escapes. The building is a contributing property to the NRHP-listed Chinatown and Little Italy Historic District.
