Il Kartika Purnima è un festival culturale indù , sikh e giainista , celebrato nel giorno di Purnima (luna piena) o nel quindicesimo giorno lunare di Kartik (novembre-dicembre). È anche conosciuto come Tripuri Purnima e Tripurari Purnima . A volte è chiamato Deva-Diwali o Deva-Deepawali , la festa delle luci degli dei. Karthika Deepamè un festival correlato celebrato nell'India meridionale e nello Sri Lanka in una data diversa. Kartik Puja è anche imparentato con la nascita del bambino (principalmente figlio) tra i bengalesi che credono che adorare Kartik per tre anni consecutivi li benedirà con un figlio maschio.
English: Kartika Purnima in Varanasi. Kartika Purnima is a Hindu, Sikh and Jain cultural festival, celebrated on the day of Purnima (full moon) or the 15th lunar day of Kartik (November-December). It is also known as Tripuri Purnima and Tripurari Purnima. It is sometimes called Deva-Diwali or Deva-Deepawali, the festival of lights of the gods. Karthika Deepam is a related festival celebrated in South India and Sri Lanka on a different date. Kartik Puja is also related to the birth of the child (mainly son) among Bengalis who believe that worshiping Kartik for three consecutive years will bless them with a son.
