Summary[edit]
DescriptionBulger Geyser & Bulger's Hole (7 August 2015).jpg |
English: Geysers are hot springs that episodically erupt columns of water. They occur in few places on Earth. The highest concentration of geysers anywhere is at the Yellowstone Hotspot Volcano (northwestern Wyoming, USA).
Bulger Geyser is in the southern Grand Group of Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin. It erupts from a vent in a low, gray geyserite mound that has a somewhat blister-like or bulge-like shape. Eruption runoff drains westward, then southwestward into the Firehole River. Some runoff can end up in a nearby drain called Bulger’s Hole, which is a rare geyser. Bulger’s Hole did not exist before 2011. |
