For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Einweihung eines eigenartigen Grenzdenkmals an der deutsch-holländisch-belgischen Grenze in Vaals b/Aachen! Das Grenzdenkmal besteht aus drei Steinen, welche früher an der deutsch-holländisch-belgischen Grenze gestanden haben. Bei der neuen Grenziehung sind die drei Steine durch einen ersetzt worden. Die Gemeinde Vaals hat nun abseits von der Grenze die alten Steine als geschichtliche Sehenswürdigkeit wieder aufgerichtet. Unser Bild zeigt die Einweihung dieses eigenartigen Grenzdenkmals.
