For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Illus-Biscan 12.5.51 Gr.-Jst. Eine neue katholische Kirche in Magdeburg. Aus den Abbruchsteinen einer durch Bomben anglo-amerikanischer Flieger zerstörten deutsch-reformierten Kirche wurde in Magdeburg-Cracau eine neue katholische Kirche, die St.Andreas-Kirche, errichtet. Die neue Kirche, die bereits in Benützung genommen wurde, ist in einem einfachen modernen Baustil errichtet, hat ein Haupt- und ein Nebenschiff und etwa 300 Plätze. Mit den anderen inzwischen wieder instandgesetzten Kirchen stehen dem katholischen Teil der Bevölkerung Magdeburgs nunmehr acht Kirchen zur Verfügung. UBz, Die neue St.Andreas-Kirche in Magdeburg.
