For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Chemnitz, Maurer setzen Martin-Ofen instand Zentralbild Seidel 711.A.V. Hain-Be. Berlin W 8 25.3.1952 Verpflichtungen zur II. Parteikonferenz der SED im Juli 1952. In der Harten A.G., Chemnitz, gingen zahlreiche Arbeiter Verpflichtungen zu Ehren der Neuwahlen und der II. Parteikonferenz der SED ein. UBz: Das Baukollektiv "Helgoland" verpflichtete sich, an einem Sonntag einen Arbeitseinsatz beim Aufbau Chemnitz mit 100 Kollegen und 4 Lastwagen zu leisten. vlnr: Die Maurer Hermann und Haberkorn vom Baukollektiv "Helgoland" setzen einen Martin-Ofen instand. - Vier der besten Brigadiere aus diesem Kollektiv haben sich als Kandidaten der SED beworben.
