For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.

ADN-ZB Zimmermann 6.6.84 Berlin: Festival-Der 27jährige Tiefbaubrigadier Gunnar Schrank, "Held der Arbeit", Mitglied des FDJ-Zentralrats, erhielt ein Mandat zum Nationalen Jugendfestival. Seine Brigade hat sich ein anspruchsvolles Wettbewerbsprogramm zum 35. Jahrestag der DDR gestellt. Auf den Marzahner Baustellen wollen sie u.a. die Selbstkosten um drei Prozent senken (1 000.- Mark pro Baugrube), alle Objekte mit der Qualitätsnote 1,7 übergeben, 488 Arbeitsstunden und Material für 5 891 Mark Material einsparen.
