For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB-Grimm-12.10.88-pra-Berlin: Wohnungsbau - Der junge Stadtbezirk Hohenschönhausen im Nordosten der Hauptstadt hat mit 100 000 Einwohnern die Dimension einer Großstadt. Seit der Grundsteinlegung für die ersten Neubauten im Februar 1984 entstanden mehr als 22 500 Wohnungen und weitere Einrichtungen. Ein modernes Einkaufszentrum ist das Handelshaus am Prerower Plaltz. Seit dem VIII. Parteitag der SED wurden in der DDR drei Millionen Wohnungen neugebaut bzw. modernisiert. Damit verbesserten sich seit 1971 die Wohnverhältnisse für mehr als die Hälfte aller Einwohner der Republik. -siehe auch 1988-1012,13,14,15 und 16N sowie ADN-Meldung- |
