For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Hellersdorf, Neubaugebiet, Wohnblocks ADN-ZB Uhlemann 22.8.89 Berlin: Großstadt Hellersdorf- Zur Großstadt in der Hauptstadt avancierte der Stadtbezirk Hellersdorf mit der Geburt des 100 000. Einwohners am 14.9.89. Die Mehrzahl der Bürger wohnt in Neubauten, die von 6.000 Bauleuten aus allen Bezirken der DDR in der "FDJ-Initiative- Berlin" geschaffen wurden. Auf der "Großbaustelle der Jugend" entstanden bisher mehr als 22..000 Wohnungen. Weitere 12.746 sind für dieses Jahr geplant. - Siehe auch 1989-0822-5-8 N.
