For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Containerschiff, Frachter ADN-ZB Sindermann 25.1.90-pst - Rostock: Lotsen - Mit Hilfe zweier Bugsierschlepper wird der aus Hull kommende DDR-Frachter "Aschberg" auch bei Windstärke 8 sicher durch das enge Fahrwasser des Rostocker Hafenreviers manövriert. Ein erfahrener Lotse sorgt an der Seite des Schiffskapitäns dafür, daß die "Aschberg" auf den Zentimeter genau am vorgesehenen Liegeplatz des Überseehafens festmachen kann. Warnemünder Lotsen waren allein im vergangenen Jahr bei 10.851 Schiffsbewegungen unerläßliche Partner der in- und ausländischen Besatzungen. Siehe auch 1990-0125-4-6N.
