For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Martinskirchen, Reinigung eines Kartoffelvollernters
Zentralbild Schutt He-Qu 2.11.1954 Nach der Ernte auf der MTS Martinskirchen im Bezirk Cottbus. Im Einsatz mit der Kartoffelvollerntemaschine redete Rudi Wolf von der MTS Martinskirchen innerhalb weniger Tage 95 Hektar Kartoffeln. 3800 Arbeitskräfte hätten 23 Tage benötigt, um die Kartoffeln aufzulesen. Die sowjetische Vollerntemaschine brauchte nur wenige Tage und zwei Mann Besatzung. Rudi Wolf erklärte: "Die Sowjetunion hat uns mit der Lieferung von Maschinen viel geholfen, aber genauso wichtig ist die große Hilfe, die uns die Sowjetunion im Kampf um die Einheit unseres Vaterlandes gewährt. Gerade die letzte Note ist ein Beweis dafür. Wir als Traktoristen können viel dazu beitragen, dass diese Forderungen und Vorschläge Wirklichkeit werden." UBz: Auf dem Hof der MTS reinigt der Kombinefahrer Rudi Wolf die Kartoffelerntemaschine, mit der er noch vor wenigen Tagen Kartoffeln rodete. |
