For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Salbke, Vorbereitung der Aussaat, Pflügen Zentralbild Rösener 11.4.1955 Auch Ostern auf dem Feld! Durch die schlechten Witterungsverhältnisse sind Zeitverluste in der Frühjahrsbestellung entstanden. An den Osterfeiertagen bearbeiten daher die werktätigen Bauern ihre Felder, um die Zeitverluste aufzuholen. UBz: Der werktätige Einzelbauer Mankowski aus Salbke (Bez. Magdeburg) pflügt mit 4 Pferden auf dem Feld, das wegen der Bodenfeuchtigkeit von Traktoren noch nicht bearbeitet werden konnte.
