For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Knoblauch, Bauern mit Milchkannen Zentralbild Klein Wo-So. 8 Motive 14.5.1955 Bei den Genossenschaftsbauern "Otto Grotewohl" in Knoblauch, Kreis Nauen. Für 1, 2 Millionen DM wurden in der LPG "Otto Grotewohl" in Knoblauch neue Stallungen und Wohnhäuser errichtet. Die neuen Stallgebäude schufen u.a. die Voraussetzung dafür, dass die Genossenschaftsbauern ihre tierische Produktion beträchtlich erweitern konnten. Im Jahre 1955 wird die LPG 302 500 Kilo Milch, 165 dz Rindfleisch und 801 dz Schweinefleisch abliefern. UBz: Zur grössten Freude der Mitglieder der Viehzuchtbrigade ist seit 8 Wochen die sowjetische Melkmaschine in Betrieb; denn 98 Kühe mit der Hand zu melken, ist keine Kleinigkeit. (l) Genossenschaftsbäuerin Frieda Nachstädt und (r) Genossenschaftsbauer Werner Behrend.
