For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dieter Lüder, Fritz Jährling Zentralbild Funck 25.9.1955 Ro-Eg. Radrennbahn Weissensee der Öffentlichkeit übergeben Der Stellvertreter des Oberbürgermeisters, Herbert Fechner übergab am 25.9.1955 den Radsportlern Berlins die Radrennbahn Weissensee. Gleich am 1. Tage gab es auf der neuen Bahn eine Reihe interessanter Rennen. Das 4000 Meter Verfolgungsrennen zwischen dem Sieger der diesjährigen DDR-Rundfahrt, Lüder (Empor) und dem zweifachen Etappensieger Jährling (Einheit), konnte Jährling in einem großartigen Spurt gewinnen. UBz:Die beiden Rivalen nach dem Rennen.
