Zentralbild Rostock 21.7.1956 Löwe Mathias-Thesen-Werft in Wismar Den Produktionsplan des 1. Halbjahres hat die Belegschaft der Werft trotz vieler Schwierigkeiten mit 104,9% erfüllt. Das 10. Flußfahrgastschiff lag nur 48 Tage auf der Relling, während die Rellingliegezeit im Vorjahr noch 90 Tage betrug. Erhebliche Verzögerungen durch die starke Kältewelle am Beginn dieses Jahres mußten überwunden werden; noch im Mai hatte die Werft einen wortmässigen Planrückstand von etwa 7 Millionen DM. Die Arbeit auf der Helling lag mit 50 Produktionstagen im Rückstand. Durch die tatkräftige Mitarbeit von 600 Angestellten der Werft, früher zum größten Teil selbst Werftarbeiter, ist es gelungen, den Planrückstand aufzuholen.

UBz: Der Ausrüstungskai der Werft v. l. n. r.: Der Eisbrecher "Eisvogel", der Trawler "Weimar" und ein Flußfahrgastschiff, die auf der Werft erbaut wurden und im Kai ihrer Vollendung entgegensehen.
