For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Siegfried Köhler Zentralbild Wendorf 29.7.1956 Bey-Ka. DDR-Meisterschaften im Radsport Am Sonnabend, dem 28.7.1956, wurden auf der Radrennbahn in Berlin Weissensee die DDR-Meisterschaften im Bahnfahren fortgesetzt. Den Titel im Dauerfahren holte sich der Favorit Bruno Zieger (Post Berlin) vor Stammer und Keil. Im 1000-m-Malfahren sicherte sich der Titelverteidiger Jürgen Simon (Einheit Berlin) vor Stäber (Dynamo Berlin) erneut die Meisterschaft. UBz:Der neue DDR- Meister im 4000 m Verfolgungsfahren Siegfried Köhler (SC Einheit Berlin) mit seinem Betreuer.
