For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Bulgarische Fotografie Bey-Ho. 18.10.1956 DDR-Fußballauswahl unterlag Bulgarien 1:3. Am Sonntag, den 14.10.1956, standen sich in einem Fußball-Länderspiel die Mannschaften von Bulgarien und der DDR gegenüber. Im Sofioter Wassil-Lewwski-Stadion siegte der Gastgeber verdient mit 3:1 und revanchierte sich damit für die im Vorjahr erlittene Ost-Niederlage. UBz. Die beiden Ländermannschaften vor dem Beginn des Spiels. In der DDR-Auswahl erkennen wir von rechts nach links: K. Wolf, S. Wolf, Wirth, Schaller, Lindner, Eilitz, Baumann, Müller, Tröger, Spickenagel und Schröter.
