For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Schenkenberg, Blick in Kälberstall Zentralbild - Weiß Vgt-L 17.1.1959 LPF Schenkenberg - achtfacher Millionär. Auf große Erfolge kann die LPG "7. Oktober" (Typ III) in Schenkenberg, Kreis Delitzsch, zurückblicken. Die Genossenschaft, die heute bei 327 Mitgliedern und 1331 ha LNF einen Vermögenswert von acht Millionen DM aufzuweisen hat, wurde 1952 von 14 Bauern mit 58 ha LNF gegründet. Schenkenberg mit seinen fünf Ortsteilen zählt heute noch sieben einzelwirtschaftende Bauern. Seit Bestehen der LPG wurden 8 neue Ställe errichtet, 13 große Stallbauten vorgenommen und 25000 DM für soziale und kulturelle Einrichtungen ausgegeben. Laufend stieg auch der Wert der Arbeitseinheiten. Betrug er 1953 real nur 97 Pfenige, so waren es 1957 bereits 6, 63 DM und für das vergangene Jahr wurden 9 DM errechnet, wovon 8 DM zur Auszahlung kommen. Für 1959 sind 12 DM geplant. UBz: Im Ortsteil Rödgen stehen 95 Jungbullen zur Mast. Der Rindviehbestand wird von insgesamt 781 auf 1654 Stück bis 1960 steigen.
