For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Weiß Weiß-Noa 27.1.1959 Auf der Leipziger Frühjahrsmesse - Großdieselmotor aus Halberstadt. Der VEB Maschinenbau Halberstadt wird auf der diesjährigen Leipziger Frühjahrsmesse u.a. mit 2 400 -PS-Großdieselmotor und mit Modellen von Großkolbenverdichtern vertreten sein. Die Großdieselmotoren von 300 PS und 2 400 PS, die 70% der Produktion des Werkes ausmachen, werden u.a. in die Sowjetunion, nach China, Bulgarien, Italien und Argentinien exportiert. Der Betrieb mit seinen über 1 000 Beschäftigten wird 1959 gegenüber dem Vorjahr seine Produktion um 15% steigern. UBz: Die Maschinenschlosser Harry Meldau und Wolfgang Strube (links) arbeiten am Kreuzkopf für das Triebwerk eines Gasverdichters. Diese Großkolbenverdichter kommen in der chemischen Industrie und bei der Ferngasversorgung zum Einsatz. |
