For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Wismar, Hafen, Portalsaugturm Zentralbild Mellahn 31.8.1959 160000 Tonnen zusätzlich umgeschlagen Etwa 1000 Schiffe aus 20 Ländern haben in diesem Jahr bereits im Wismarer Hafen festgemacht. Im sozialistischen Wettbewerb zum 10. Jahrestag der DDR gelange es den Hafenarbeitern, einen Planvorsprung von 160000 Tonnen Gütern bei der Be- und Entladung der Schiffe zu erarbeiten. UBz: Ein Leningrader Frachter an der Getreideansauganlage.
