For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Treuenbrietzen, Bewässerung von Viehweiden Zentralbild Martin We-Ws 4.10.50 LPG-Kälberkombinat in Treuenbrietzen. 600 Kälber vom 4. Lebenstag bis zu Trächtigkeit zieht die LPG Treuenbrietzen, Kreis Jüterbeg, jährlich in einem eigens dazu eingerichteten Kombinat auf. Die Kälber werden in Offenställen und im Freien gehalten. Moderne Ställe, die von den Genossenschaftsmitgliedern selbst entwickelt wurden, sind im Bau und sollen bis zum 10. Jahrestag unserer Republik fertiggestellt sein. Bis 1965 sollen je Jahresdurchgang 2000 Kälber aufgezogen werden. UBz: Trotz der Dürre hatten die Genossenschaftsbauern von Treuenbrietzen keine Futtersorgen, da sie ihre Weiden ständig künstlich beregneten. Viehzuchtbrigadier Heinz Richter stellt den Regler der Düse ein.
