For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Mellahn Frö-Qu 27.10.1959 MS "Schwerin" läuft 9 Tage vorfristig vom Stapel. Den elften auf der Warnemünder Warnowwerft gebauten 10 000-Tonnen-Frachter "Schwerin" wollen die Werktätigen am 23. Dezember. 9 Tage vor dem Termin, ausliefern. Das Schiff wurde zum Objekt der sozialistischen Brigaden der Werft erklärt. Es ist ein Beitrag der Werftarbeiter im Kampf um die vorfristige Erfüllung des Jahresplanes. UBz. Einbau eines der acht Ladebäume für die MS "Schwerin"."
