For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Krippehna, Bäuerin mit Ferkeln Zentralbild Martin 24.11.1959 Erhöhte Schweinefleischproduktion durch geringe Ferkelsterblichkeit. Die Mitglieder der LPG Krippehna, Kreis Eilenburg, senkten die Ferkelsterblichkeit, die im Durchschnitt in der Rupublik bei 6 % liegt, auf 3 %. Sorgfältige Pflege der Sauen beim Ferkeln, individuelle Fütterung der Tiere, Beigabe aller notwendigen Aufbaustoffe zum Futter usw. waren die Voraussetzungen für den Erfolg. So ist die LPG in der Lage, die Schweinefleischproduktion beträchtlich zu steigern. UBz: Die Genossenschaftsbäuerin Maria Frank hat besonders hohen Anteil an der erfolgreichen Ferkelaufzucht der LPG. Ihre vorbildliche Pflege der Tiere hat mit dazubeigetragen, daß die Ferkelsterblichkeit auf 3 % gesenkt wurde.
