For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Magdeburg, Arbeiter, Diskussion über Bilder Zentralbild Biscan 11.4.1961 Vorbereitung der III. Arbeiterfestspiele. Ein Zyklus über das Wirken Erich Weinertz. Der Magdeburger Maler und Graphiker Heinz Kühle und der Laienkünstler Günter Eiz haben gemeinsam einen aus sechs Bildern bestehenden Zyklus über das Wirken Erich Weinerts geschaffen. Die Mitarbeiter des Weinert-Hauses in Magdeburg haben sich nach einer Diskussion mit den Künstlern dazu entschlossen, ihnen im Sinne der Wettbewerbsbedingungen das Mandat zu erteilen und den Zyklus zur Kunstausstellung einzureichen. UBz: Heinz Kühle (hinten links) erklärt Mitarbeitern des Weinert-Hauses Einzelheiten der Arbeit.
