For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Mellahn-27.7.1961-Der Frontstadt gekündigt. Der 19jährige Grenzgänger Gerhard Restin, der bis vor kurzem bei einer Schaltbaugesellschaft in Westberlin arbeitete, hat nunmehr eine Tätigkeit in seinem Beruf als Elektromonteur im demokratischen Berlin in der Druckerei "Tägliche Rundchau" aufgenommen. "Ich habe eingesehen, dass die Grenzgängerei annormal ist" sagte er. (Näheres siehe ADN-Meldung Nr. 147-415 vom 27.7.61) UBz: Gerhard Restin (rechts) mit dem Gewerkschafts-Vertrauensmann der Elektro-Werkstatt der Druckerei "Tägliche Rundschau"."
