For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Bestensee, Traktoristen beim Grasmähen Zentralbild Karnitzki 21.6.1962 Höchste Mahdleistung seit Bestehen der MTS Pätz - Brigade "Ernst Thälmann" hat gestern bereits die Grasmahd abgeschlossen. Die bisher höchsten Mahdleistungen bei der Heuernte erreichten die Traktoristen der MTS Pätz im Kreis Königs-Wusterhausen. An zwei Tagen wurden insgesamt 216 Hektar Gras gemäht. Zu diesen vorbildlichen Taten der Traktoristen trug vor allem der gute Einsatz der Maschinen in zwei Schichten bei. Die Grasmahd - insgesamt sind 2279 ha Wiesen zu mähen - soll bis zum 24. Juni abgeschlossen sein. Die Brigade "Ernst Thälmann" im Bereich 3, die an der Spitze aller Brigaden der MTS steht, konnte bereits am Abend des 20. Juni den erfolgreichen Abschluß der Grasmahd melden. UBz: 4 Traktoren der Brigade "Ernst Thälmann" im Komplexeinsatz bei der Grasmahd auf einem 7 Schlag der LPG "Freie Scholle" (Typ III) in Bestensee.
