For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Fischerboote am Kai Zentralbild Karnitzki 13.1.1964 Über 30 Fischereifahrzeuge auf See Durch den Einsatz von Netzsonden auf den Loggern und die Einführung der pelagischen Fischerei in einem Teil der Trawlerflotte konnten fast alle Fangfahrzeuge bereits nach zweiwöchiger Fangreise im Januar mit großen Fängen ihren Heimathafen anlaufen. Über 30 Fangfahrzeuge des Fischkombinates Rostock-Marienehe befanden sich zum Jahreswechsel auf hoher See, um einen guten Plananlauf für das Jahr 1964 zu sichern. In diesem Jahr wollen die Fischer 120.000 t Fisch fangen. 193 hatten sie erstmals die 100 000-t-Grenze überschritten und damit den Staatsplan mit 500 t Fisch übererfüllt.
