For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter Zentralbild Karnitzki 22.6.1964 Zur diesjährigen Ostseewoche Zum ersten Mal wird während der diesjährigen Ostseewoche im Rostocker Überseehafen ein "Tag der offenen Tür" veranstaltet. Tausende In- und ausländische Gäste des großen Völkertreffens im DDR-Küstenbezirk werden Gelegenheit haben, ich von den zügigen Baufortschritten auf der Großbaustelle im Norden der Republik zu überzeugen. Inzwischen hat sich die Zahl der Schiffsliegeplätze auf 15 erhöht. Unser Foto zeigt den italienischen Frachter "Rubicone" am Messengutkai.
