Zentralbild/Junge, 14.10.66 DDR: "Plastolit" in Dresden-Radebeul - bedeutender halbstaatlicher Betrieb - Exporteur von Wasserspielzeug Der 1950 mit 18 Angestellten als privates Unternehmen geschaffenen Betrieb für Kunststoff-Verarbeitung "Plastolit" (Horst Meyer) in Dresden-Radebeul, stellte als erster Betrieb in der DDR Kinderspielbälle aus Plaste für den Inlandbedarf her. 1960 nahm der Betrieb die staatliche Beteiligung auf und führte erstmalig in der DDR das Hochfrequenzschweißen von Kunststoffen auf PVC-Folienbasis ein. "Plastolit" arbeitet heute mit 200 Beschäftigten vorwiegend für den Export. 90% der Wasserspielwaren (Bälle, Wassertiere jeder Art, Schwimmatratzen, aufblasbare Bäder und Wannen für Kinder) werden in 83 Länder exportiert. Der auf vielen Messen und Ausstellungen vertretene halbstaatliche Betrieb der DDR bietet unter den europäischen Betrieben seiner Art das umfangreichste Sortiment an Wasserspielwaren an, die von der Firma selbst entwickelt werden.
