For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Spromberg 14.2.1968 Berlin: 20 Meter langer Ausleger auf der Fernsehturmspitze montiert In komplizierter Maßarbeit ist in der vergangenen Woche der fast 20 Meter lange Ausleger an seinen jetzigen Standort in 250 Meter Höhe gebracht worden (unser Bild). Damit hat auf dem oberen Tragepodest der Hilfskran einen großen "Bruder" bekommen, der später die Turmkugel in Einzelsegmenten emporheben wird. Vorher wird der kleine Kran (auf unserem Foto hinter dem langen Ausleger), der seine Funktion zur vollen Zufriedenheit der Turmbauer erfüllt hat, von dem Spezialkran hinabgelassen.
