For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Sindermann-22.11.1968 Rostock: Mit einer Ladung von 33.000 Tonnen Erdöl aus Odessa hat jetzt der 45.000-Tonnen-Tanker "Wolfen" zum erstenmal im Ölhafen des Rostocker Überseehafens festgemacht. Die "Wolfen" wurde im Juni dieses Jahres von einer norwegischen Reederei erworben und ist das größte Schiff der Deutschen Seereederei. Sie erreicht bei voller Ladung einen Tiefgang von 11,60 Metern, ist 215 Meter lang, 29 Meter breit und kann 16 Knoten fahren. In 30 Ladetanks können bis 55.000 Kubikmeter Öl transportiert werden."
