For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Meliorationsmaschine im Einsatz Zentralbild Lehmann 27.11.1968 Neubrandenburg: Meliorationsarbeiten im Elde-Quell-Gebiet Das Elde-Quell-Gebiet an der Müritz gehört zu den bedeutendsten Meliorationsvorhaben der DDR. Die größten Ertragsreserven werden in der nächsten Zeit durch Meliorationen von Acker- und Grünland und damit für die pflanzliche und tierische Produktion erschlossen. Durch Bewässerung können bis zu 25 Dezitonnen und durch Entwässerung bis zu zehn Dezitonnen Getreideeinheiten je Hektar mehr erzielt werden. (Fotos sind zur Ergänzung der ADN-Meldungen über die Arbeitstagung des Staatlichen Komitees für Melioration am 26. - 27.11.1968 in Klink gedacht. Siehe auch Motiv G1127-18-1N)
